The overall objective of the contract will be to support EASA activities in the frame of the EPAS development (European Plan for Aviation Safety) and to equip EASA with sound impact assessment/monitoring & evaluation methodologies and access to relevant data sources on which to base its initiative/intervention decisions.
Apave Aeroservices has teamed up with AESA Spain (Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency) in a consortium also including CAA International (UK Civil Aviation Authority) and has been ranked N°1 by EASA in its selection for the tender named “Impact Assessment & Evaluation of EASA Rules in the Field of Aviation Safety (ASSESS III)”, offering the use of tools and techniques implemented for Impact Assessment & Evaluations of rules.
Apave Aeroservices technical capabilities have been strengthened through the contributions of key partners and sub-contractors, including OSAC (a 100% subsidiary of Apave Group and a part of French Aviation Authority DGAC), SixFoisSept (a subsidiary of Apave Group, providing Data Science and data management services), IMT-Institut des Mines Alès (Research and education in different fields of technological expertise) and I-TRUST (a French software leader in Artificial Intelligence applied to cybersecurity).

This selection is demonstrating Apave capability not only in drafting technical airworthiness rules, regulations and requirements but also to understand and assess the implications that introducing new rules, regulations and requirements may have on cost, time, performance or aircraft availability, as well as in terms of social and environmental aspects.
