Innovation and Sustainable development

The civil and military aviation sectors are demonstrating their ability to innovate in a number of areas in order to meet the technological and environmental challenges they face. The Apave Group supports and assists all those who are taking the initiative by implementing cutting-edge solutions, particularly in the areas of testing and risk management supported by artificial intelligence.

RBO

In addition to actively supporting the implementation of SMS within the aviation community, Apave is committed to paving the way for innovative risk management in the context of oversight activities: Risk and Performance Based Oversight (RPBO). Apave has developed databases and tools to assess a company's level of risk beyond its regulatory compliance, taking into account its economic and industrial performance. OSAC, SixFoisSept and Apave Aeroservices, subsidiaries of the Apave Group, have pooled their expertise, skills and resources to develop SEMAPHORE Risk Monitoring©, a digital solution for applying RBO to the oversight of approved organisations and aircraft.

Connected glasses

OSAC uses Realwear connected glasses to audit maintenance workshops when it is not possible for an inspector to travel to the site (e.g. organisations located in sensitive areas). From behind his computer, the inspector remotely guides the user equipped with the connected glasses so that he can show him the various elements to be checked in accordance with the checklist set out in the procedures. Images of the workshops, shop or toolboxes are then transmitted directly to the computer, and screenshots can be attached to the audit report.

GREEN&SOCIAL SOLUTIONS

Apave has developed a range of solutions to combine the challenges of sustainable development and energy efficiency with risk management.

Certidrones®

The Certidrones methodology has been designed to focus on the operational specificities of UAVs, and in particular on the technical redundancy of equipment, maintenance, mission preparation, training and qualification of remote pilots, and insurance policies. Certidrones® air and ground risk assessment includes loss of control of the drone, leaving the flight zone, intrusion into the take-off and landing zones, loss of video and projection of a foreign object.
