Objective: Zero Accidents (OZA)

Four safety principles are implemented and followed across all the Group’s entities and countries where it operates.
OUR 4 SAFETY PRINCIPLES:
- #1 - I THINK BEFORE I ACT
- #2 - I LOOK WHERE I'M WALKING
- #3 - I PROTECT MYSELF
- #4 - I DRIVE RESPONSIBLY
Safety, a major and a shared objective: 5 years without accidents
Safety is the foundation of every assignment: if a task cannot be performed safely, we do not do it.
Our hierarchy of priorities is clear: safety first, then quality, and finally productivity. This is based on a true safety culture, dedicated talks, risk analyses before every assignment, and regular team training.
In high-risk environments, safety is a key differentiator and a driver of performance. Our customers entrust us with complex projects because they know safety is at the heart of our work.
Safety is a mindset; it relies on vigilance and everyone taking personal responsibility. My goal is simple: for everyone to return home in one piece. This culture is reflected every day in small actions, such as refusing to work on a high-risk site or ensuring everyone takes their breaks.
April, Apave Safety Month
“April, Apave Safety Month” is a well-established ritual for the Group. All teams from the Executive Committee to field employees, in France and internationally—are invited to participate in various actions.
- Thematic awareness of safety principles: in 2025, the focus was on wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), linked to Safety Behaviour No. 3 “I protect myself,” and “Life-saving actions.”
- “Safety Day” Webinar: held on 28 April 2025 to mark World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Hosted by the Executive Committee, the session was available in both French and English for all Group employees.
- “Risk Hunts” on every site: To identify potential hazards and report them via the ALERT Sécurité app.
360° Safety

Apave is also developing a 360° Safety approach, which aims to reinforce risk awareness at all levels of the organisation and integrate safety into all the Group's activities. This approach combines occupational safety, cybersecurity, and ethics. To permanently anchor these safety behaviours, the Group deployed a “360° Safety” training module—an innovative programme that brings these three dimensions together within a single curriculum.
Launched in 2024 for new employees, this training was extended in 2025 to all Group teams to foster a common culture of vigilance at every level.
To date, 88% of employees have already completed the 360° Safety module.
A culture of prevention anchored in daily life
Beyond these core principles, safety is built on a daily basis through various systems. Managerial Safety Visits (MSV) allow managers to engage directly with teams regarding work situations and the risks they encounter.
Safety talks, organised regularly within teams, also provide key opportunities to share feedback, reinforce best practices, and strengthen collective vigilance.
Testimonial
Because safety is just as important for our customers as it is internally, Managerial Safety Visits are essential moments for dialogue. Safety is a commitment we share with our customers. These shared prevention rituals are proof of a genuine operational partnership dedicated to risk prevention.
