Apave Aeroservices has developed a safety multi-criteria impact analysis tool for EASA
This 10 months project was awarded at the end of 2023 following a consultation involving 3 companies. The EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) praised the quality and originality of the technical proposal put forward by the Apave Aeroservices team.
EASA's objective was to develop a safety multi-criteria analysis scale, to support its decision-making process.
This tool will assist EASA in its impact studies and decision-making process and will complement the existing multi-criteria analysis (MCA) scales of the social, economic and environmental criteria: it will be used upstream of the publication of Rulemaking Tasks (RMT) and Business Intervention Strategies (BIS) by EASA teams.
This project, which has led to the definition of an unprecedented tool, involved EASA experts, Apave Aeroservices researchers and aeronautics industry professionals working together for almost a year.
Congratulations and thanks to the teams involved in this project, to the air transport professionals who made themselves available throughout, and to our research experts who demonstrated their ability to innovate and collaborate to improve flight safety.
